Hollie Neilson
Pharmacist, Certified Travel Health Consultant
Hollie graduated from the University of Alberta in 2011 and has been working as a Pharmacist at Copperfield Pharmasave since its opening in December 2013. She is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) and achieved her Certificate in Travel Health™ designation in 2019. She is dedicated to helping travellers maximize their vacation experience ensuring that they have the vaccinations, medications and health advice they need to embark on their journeys with confidence.
Hollie’s passion for travel started when she first visited Switzerland to compete in the World Baton Twirling Championships at the age of 10. Her travels have taken her all across Canada and the United States, to several countries in Europe, the Caribbean and Asia. In her younger years, Hollie has been known to zipline, parasail, snorkel, and skydive! As a mother of 3 young children, she’s mostly staying close to home for now, but lives vicariously through the exciting plans of her patients in their travel consultations.
Melissa Karakochuk
Pharmacist, Certified Travel Health Consultant
Melissa grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan and graduated from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2005. She moved to Alberta and has called Calgary home ever since. She has received her Additional Prescribing Authority and Authorization to Administer Drugs by Injection. She is always advancing her education by studying the latest in travel medicine and attained her Travel Health Certification™ in 2024
